Garden Design & Installation

Whether you have a blank slate or a garden that needs a do-over, we love partnering with homeowners, businesses, and schools. We collaborate with our clients to create lush, vibrant perennial gardens that not only inspire good vibes but also add to the ecological integrity of the land.

To accomplish this, we use native plants and carefully selected non-invasive non-natives. We’re partial to native plants because they are hugely helpful to the earth. Plus, they require less maintenance. Once your plants put down roots, they will enhance the soil with essential nutrients,
increase water retention, and provide nourishment and habitat for pollinators.

Our Process

Consultation

Our on-site consultation will allow us to discuss your goals and vision for your space, as well as properly assess your space in detail. Our consulting fee of $75 per hour applies (if you agree to work with us, we will include this fee in the design contract). If you are located outside of our range, our consulting fee will depend on the distance.

Design & Install

Our design work is the culmination of our initial consultation plus any follow-up collaboration to arrive at a design that you’ll love. Each design contract requires a nonrefundable 50% deposit for the plant material purchase. Once the deposit is received, we will initiate the plant order and provide a tentative schedule for delivery and/or garden installation. If we are installing your garden the best months to establish it are
May – June and September – October.

We also offer garden maintenance. This is something to consider as the first two years of new garden care are critical to ensure success. This also allows for any design tweaking as things begin to grow.

Your garden design will include the following:

  • A full-color outline of chosen plants.

  • A scaled color rendering of the garden.

  • A care list of all plants, shrubs, grasses, and trees. This will include bloom time, seasonal spread, water, light information, and any other relevant notes.

All documents are delivered electronically.

Our Design and Installation will also include a complimentary on-site consult at your request during your garden’s first year. We will walk with you through your garden and review any questions you have and discuss watering or other management practices. This early TLC will help to ensure the success of your garden.
